Tricky Tray

Dear Friends of the Wanaque School Tricky Tray,
We are reaching out to parents for some helping hands this year. Many parents who have worked the Tricky Tray have children who have graduated or have moved, so we need new faces and many hands to put together our largest fundraiser.
* Donate a basket - You know that Christmas gift you have no place for in your house -- turn it into a Tricky Tray donation basket,
* New items you have that you can donate -- bring them in. No used anything.
* Ask your company if they will donate to our tricky Tray. Got friends in business -- ask them for a donation.
* Please find some friends and attend the Tricky Tray.
Sincerely,
The Tricky Tray Committee.

Please remember – when you send in your Box Tops and/or Labels for Education, make sure the envelope or bag is labeled with your child’s teacher’s name, so we can reward the classes that submit the most. Every two months, the class that submits the most Box Tops/Labels for Education will be rewarded with free snack certificates. The overall winning class for the year will be rewarded at year’s end with a pizza party.

The Box Tops for Education website www.boxtops4education.com lists all the participating products, along with additional ways to earn Box Tops. Check back often for the latest bonus opportunities and remember to spread the word!
In addition, you can earn eBoxTops by shopping through the Box Tops Marketplace or the Box Tops Reading Room. Each participating retailer at the Marketplace and the Reading Room has agreed to donate a certain number of eBoxTops for every qualifying $10 purchase a Box Tops member makes through http://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/marketplace/Default.aspx.

The Labels for Education website (www.labelsforeducation.com) also provides a list of their participating products. When clipping the Labels for Education from Campbell’s soup cans, remember to include the UPC code. Without the code, the label cannot be counted towards our total.

DID YOU KNOW?
- On average, Americans replace their cell phones every 12 months.
- Over 65 million cell phones are stockpiled in U.S. households creating 30,000 tons of potentially hazardous waste.
- By 2005, an estimated 130 million cell phones will be discarded annually in the U.S. alone.
- Cell phones contain toxic substances, including: Arsenic, Antimony, Beryllium, Cadmium, Copper, Lead, Nickel and Zinc, which leach into the soil and groundwater from landfills and form highly toxic dioxins and furans during incineration.
- These toxins have been associated with cancer and a range of reproductive, neurological and developmental disorders.
- The cadmium from a single cell phone is capable of polluting 158,200 gallons of water (That's 2.4 million 8-ounce sodas!)
